We formed TRIA Recruitment in 2015, having worked in the recruitment industry for more years than we care to remember. We were all equally fed up with large company politics, target driven environments, lack of treating people like people, we could go on, but it’s a familiar story.

We believe that there is a demand for a staffing organisation that embraces modern recruitment practices and focuses solely on working with their clients to fill those specialist and hard to fill staffing requirements. And do you know what? It seems to have worked.

At TRIA we believe that good things come in threes, and the perfect client, candidate and consultant partnership generates a perfect match.

We welcome the fact that most large organisations are building their own in house recruitment capability and are using effective employer brand strategies to attract great talent. This means our clients only work with us when there is a genuine need for specialist staffing. That’s where we work quickly and efficiently to help fill those gaps.

Whenever a client or candidate works with TRIA we want it to be a rewarding experience. We won’t make any convoluted claims about being especially different from our competitors, but we do understand that the recruitment industry is all about people. And we employ lots of really great people. They’re straight-talking, ethical, diligent and have a very high-bar.  But most of all they are reliable in delivering the best candidates each and every time.

We’re very proud and pleased to have been shortlisted for ‘Business of the Year (11-50 employees)’ at this year’s Business Leader Awards and for ‘Best Company To Work For (up to 20 employees)’ at the 2018 IRP Awards. Fingers crossed.

A brief history of TRIA

Feb 2015

TRIA Recruitment is born, founded by Lara, David and Harriet. Moved into broom cupboard sized offices with no central heating.

Mar 2015

TRIA’s first placement is made and our first ever professional contractor is on site working. Both client and contractor happy!

Sep 2015

With a headcount of seven staff we have our first Tria Summer Party in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.

Dec 2015

We end the year with 19 very happy clients and 18 professional contractors on site. A proud moment for everyone at TRIA.

Feb 2016

TRIA's first birthday party. Nothing too flash just tea and cake in the office … and a glass or two of bubbles!

Mar 2016

We announce Personal Training sessions every Wednesday for all staff at Nuffield Health.

May 2016

TRIA moves into new offices. The amazing 31 College Green office occupies 1500 sq ft on a three year lease.

Dec 2016

TRIA has headcount of eleven staff, and is diversifying into new sectors across Financial Services, FMCG, Insurance and Leisure & Tourism.

Jun 2017

Tria takes all 14 staff on the ‘Tria Weekender’. Clay pigeon shooting (Anton won!), go karting (David won!) and a delightful evening spending time together over dinner and drinks.

Oct 2017

We have 100 contractors on site and 37 happy clients year to date. Our headcount sits at 16 staff.

Background: Matt Louth has been a loyal customer of TRIA for over eight years. Indeed, as Matt has advanced in his own career in various blue-chip organisations, he has retained his relationship with TRIA.  

The situation: When Matt was tasked with recruiting for The Body Shop, he wanted to avoid time being taken up with the recruitment process, during his busy working day. He also wanted confidence in the choice of candidates being right from the start, as this can be another very time-consuming process.

The approach: TRIA is aware that when dealing with very senior clients, their time is limited and so they use a project management plan to ensure that decisions and updates could be made outside of normal business hours so swift progress could be made.

Background: Phil Scully has been a loyal client of TRIA for eight years and has retained the relationship as he has progressed in his career, including his current role as CIO at Costa Coffee, one of Whitbread plc's largest retail brands.

The situation: When Phil is tasked with recruiting several high-level positions including multi-channel and lead architect roles he was aware that not only were exacting technical skills required, but also the right cultural fit for his team. TRIA understand that a successful placement is the right mix of technical skills and cultural fit. One without the other does not make a successful placement. So, Phil was able to trust that TRIA would deliver a candidate who was the right fit on both counts.

The approach: TRIA had an initial briefing and, thanks to their long-term relationship and experience of the market, immediately understood the brief in terms of technical skills and personal skills/ cultural fit. TRIA then worked closely with Phil and his team to pull together a comprehensive role spec. This then enabled TRIA to go out to the market in the most efficient manner with a role they knew would be attractive to the right candidates and therefore generate the best response.

We’ve built a pretty good team here at TRIA – even if we do say so ourselves. We have a common goal of doing a great job for our clients, but we’re allowed complete freedom in how we do it. We’re treated like adults and we respect that and enjoy the working environment that this modern approach to working creates.

Don’t get us wrong, it’s hard work and sometimes can be frustrating.  But the support, fun and camaraderie makes it all worthwhile.

 

 

Not forgetting the rewards.  We have a very generous commission scheme - that can be designed around your personal circumstances - and some amazing team days out and weekends away. In fact this year we are all off for a long weekend skiing in Les Arc, France!

TRIA may transfer only the information you provide to us to countries outside the European Economic Area (‘EEA’) for the purposes of providing you with work-finding services.   1. Data retention

TRIA will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purpose we collect it. Different laws may also require us to keep different data for different periods of time.

The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, require us to keep work-seeker records for at least one year from (a) the date of their creation or (b) after the date on which we last provide you with work-finding services.

We must also keep your payroll records, holiday pay, sick pay and pensions auto-enrolment records for as long as is legally required by HMRC and associated national minimum wage, social security and tax legislation.

Where TRIA has obtained your consent to process your personal, we will do so in line with our retention policy. Upon expiry of that period TRIA will seek further consent from you. Where consent is not granted TRIA will cease to process your personal data.
