We are TRIA
IT and Business Transformation staffing specialists

Treating people like people

We formed TRIA Recruitment in 2015, having worked in the recruitment industry for more years than we care to remember. We were all equally fed up with large company politics, target driven environments, lack of treating people like people, we could go on, but it’s a familiar story.

We believe that there is a demand for a staffing organisation that embraces modern recruitment practices and focuses solely on working with their clients to fill those specialist and hard to fill staffing requirements. And do you know what? It seems to have worked.

At TRIA we believe that good things come in threes, and the perfect client, candidate and consultant partnership generates a perfect match.

We welcome the fact that most large organisations are building their own in house recruitment capability and are using effective employer brand strategies to attract great talent. This means our clients only work with us when there is a genuine need for specialist staffing. That’s where we work quickly and efficiently to help fill those gaps.

Whenever a client or candidate works with TRIA we want it to be a rewarding experience. We won’t make any convoluted claims about being especially different from our competitors, but we do understand that the recruitment industry is all about people. And we employ lots of really great people. They’re straight-talking, ethical, diligent and have a very high-bar.  But most of all they are reliable in delivering the best candidates each and every time.

Some businesses we have helped

Client: The Body Shop

Contact: Matt Louth, International Head of Digital and Customer Systems

Service used: Contingent Recruitment

Background: Matt Louth has been a loyal customer of TRIA for over eight years. Indeed, as Matt has advanced in his own career in various blue-chip organisations, he has retained his relationship with TRIA.

The situation: When Matt was tasked with recruiting for The Body Shop, he wanted to avoid time being taken up with the recruitment process, during his busy working day. He also wanted confidence in the choice of candidates being right from the start, as this can be another very time-consuming process.

The approach: TRIA is aware that when dealing with very senior clients, their time is limited and so they use a project management plan to ensure that decisions and updates could be made outside of normal business hours so swift progress could be made.

Client comments: “The team at TRIA are flexible which is important to me as I am often busy in core hours. However, they keep me updated on progress before 8am or after 5pm, in short, punchy updates when I have time to deal with them. Recruitment can be a time-consuming business but TRIA make it as easy as it can be. They take time to understand the role fit and the team fit, to make sure we get the best person for the job. They achieve a higher quality of candidates onto a shortlist than most. TRIA are a joy to work with.”

The results: They are clear to see. TRIA has now recruited for 13 positions at The Body Shop and have on ongoing relationship for other contingency recruitment needs across their IT and Digital function. TRIA understand the need to deliver to the client in a way and manner that suits them and this, in turn, brings a stronger relationship and better results.

Client: Costa Coffee

Contact: Phil Scully, CIO

Service used: Contingent Recruitment

Background: Phil Scully has been a loyal client of TRIA for eight years and has retained the relationship as he has progressed in his career, including his current role as CIO at Costa Coffee, one of Whitbread plc's largest retail brands.

The situation: When Phil is tasked with recruiting several high-level positions including multi-channel and lead architect roles he was aware that not only were exacting technical skills required, but also the right cultural fit for his team. TRIA understand that a successful placement is the right mix of technical skills and cultural fit. One without the other does not make a successful placement. So, Phil was able to trust that TRIA would deliver a candidate who was the right fit on both counts.

The approach: TRIA had an initial briefing and, thanks to their long-term relationship and experience of the market, immediately understood the brief in terms of technical skills and personal skills/ cultural fit. TRIA then worked closely with Phil and his team to pull together a comprehensive role spec. This then enabled TRIA to go out to the market in the most efficient manner with a role they knew would be attractive to the right candidates and therefore generate the best response.

Client comments: "TRIA has always been honest and pragmatic. There is no nonsense with TRIA. They say if they can't do it. The candidates that they have found have been high calibre and a good fit for my team. TRIA is one of these go to contacts in my network who never let me down."

The results: TRIA is on the Preferred Suppliers List for Whitbread and have now placed ten candidates in Costa, many of whom are pivotal to the overall performance of the team.

Don't just take our word for it

"TRIA takes the time to understand their client’s needs fully and not only understands the importance of a technical match to a role but also the cultural and personality fit within a team/organisation. They are always successful in finding me a match which is one of the key reasons why I actively approach them rather than the dozens of other recruitment agencies in the market who contact me on a regular basis. I have 100% trust in them that they will find me the right person and quickly, be it a permanent position or a contractor."

Global Head of Service Management, XL Catlin

"TRIA have shown themselves to be both thorough and truly professional during every phase of the recruitment process. These are qualities that I have not come across for a very long time. They are a true credit to the recruitment industry as a whole and they stand head and feet above the majority I have met over the past 26 years."

IT Manager, Energy Saving Trust

"Having been on both the client and applicant side of countless agencies for the best part of 25 years, and come to the conclusion that the majority of agents must have come from double-glazing sales backgrounds before moving into IT recruitment, it's a huge breath of fresh air to deal people that know what they're doing, gets back to you when they say they will, and is adaptable, diligent and eloquent enough to consistently impress us."

Service Delivery Manager, IT Services and Technology Company

"I have worked with TRIA for over two years. They have helped me recruit a large chunk of the Web Engineering team at M&S. They understand my requirements and always manage to provide quality candidates. They are highly professional and I would recommend them to anyone."

Head of Digital Software Development, Argos

"I have worked with the team since 2007, they have a great track record in the retail sector and has always been able to gain a detailed understanding of what I look for and deliver good quality candidates in a timely and efficient manner. They are very thorough and manages the recruitment lifecycle effectively to deliver the top talent on the market. They have a great network of candidates and I highly recommend them."

Chief Information Officer, ASOS

"I have worked with the TRIA team for a while now as they have been supplying me with a number of different types of contract resources to augment my permanent team at Fat Face. They have been sone of the most resourceful recruiters I have ever worked with and I find them to have a no nonsense approach, willing to go the extra mile and commercially astute."

IT Director, Fat Face

"TRIA is the first business I turn to when I am looking for the kind of roles which are the most difficult to find. Their knowledge of the market and, crucially, the people who make up that market, are second to none. I know that if they recommend someone for me to interview, then the candidate will be a great fit and I won't be disappointed. They always clearly describe each candidate in advance and how they fit the brief - and sometimes where they don't fit every criterion. The people they have found for me have all turned out to be superstars and I won't hesitate to ask for their help again when the next role needs to be filled."

Chief Operating Officer, eCommerce Consultancy

"I have worked with TRIA to recruit both permanent and contract Business Analysts. They have always provided an exceptional service - really seeking to understand what you are looking for in a candidate and ensuring only the most appropriate candidates are put forward. They are very professional, reliable, and trustworthy and consistently deliver."

Business Architect, Post Office

"What TRIA are good at is understanding what I need and finding the people to match it. Some agencies throw CV's at you but TRIA curate the list and somehow manages to pluck out the ones I would have chosen myself. They are very successful at it."

Head of Internet Banking, Major High Street Bank

We’ve built a pretty good team here at TRIA – even if we do say so ourselves. We have a common goal of doing a great job for our clients, but we’re allowed complete freedom in how we do it. We’re treated like adults and we respect that and enjoy the working environment that this modern approach to working creates.

Don’t get us wrong, it’s hard work and sometimes can be frustrating.  But the support, fun and camaraderie makes it all worthwhile.

Not forgetting the rewards.  We have a very generous commission scheme - that can be designed around your personal circumstances - and some amazing team days out and weekends away. In fact this year we are all off for a long weekend skiing in Les Arc, France!

You spend a lot of time at work and at TRIA we want to make sure that you really enjoy that time.  So if you’re fed up of a bell ringing, sales driven culture and want to experience a more grown up approach to work, come and talk to us.
