My client are a forward-thinking law firm who are excited to bring in a senior cyber security/SOC professional to drive forwards their security upgrades and transformation. This position has a clear pathway upwards to CISO/Head Of roles in future, with the support of a genuinely friendly and inspirational manager.
Your day-to-day in this Cyber Security Specialist role:
- Leading the firm’s upgrade from Microsoft E3 tooling to Microsoft E5 tooling
- Assessing the security tooling currently and on an ongoing basis, being able to technically configure new tools and assess the roadmap for what might be needed
- Be able to think enterprise-wide about security tooling. You’ll be involved in some security architecture although this won’t be your main focus.
- Communicate with the wider business, and senior leadership, around security, cyber and SOC tooling and roadmaps
- Extensive, technical experience with security tooling, predominantly the Microsoft technical stack, including Sentinel, Defender, and others
- You may have security certifications such as CISSP (but this is not an essential- experience is more important!)
- No law or legal experience is required, but experience in medium or large-sized enterprises is beneficial
- You may have experience in cyber security, SOC, or another technical security role, where you have influence and seniority over security tooling and roadmap
This role will require occasional visits to a Bristol, London, or Manchester office, but is flexible on location for people who are willing to travel when needed.

As part of this, they are looking to bring on a Lead Developer to work with their Digital Member Services team, who will contribute to a variety of exciting digital-based projects for members and customers.
