Enterprise Data Programme - CDP and CRM implementation

2 days a week onsite in Hampshire

We are seeking a Data Engineering Lead to lead the technical solution for a large-scale enterprise data transformation programme. This role will focus on the implementation of a new Customer Data Platform (CDP) and CRM solution, requiring strong experience in data modelling, system integration, and enterprise architecture.

The role is responsible for bridging the gap between architecture and engineering teams, ensuring alignment across all parties on the technical solution. This includes translating high-level architectural designs into actionable implementation plans, facilitating clear communication between stakeholders, and supporting delivery teams to ensure solutions are both technically sound and feasible within the existing ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the low-level design and technical architecture, ensuring scalable and high-quality solutions.
  • Lead the integration strategy, enabling seamless data flow across multiple platforms and business functions.
  • Define and develop data models to support customer insights, analytics, and operational efficiency.
  • Act as a technical sounding board for professional service vendors, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Conduct peer reviews and validate technical solutions to ensure best practices in architecture and integration.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, supporting development teams with implementation.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in enterprise data architecture, data integration, and systems design.
  • Proven track record of delivering Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and CRM solutions in complex enterprise environments.
  • In-depth understanding of data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical), especially in customer-centric architectures.
  • Experience implementing data governance frameworks, with knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and access control.
  • Strong grasp of ETL/ELT pipelines, API-based integrations, and modern data platform tools.
  • Proficient in communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to guide engineering teams and resolve low-level technical issues.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a major enterprise data transformation, shaping the architecture and integration of a modern customer data ecosystem.

Experience with the Adobe stack would be preferred, but not essential.
