Journey so far...

I joined TRIA in October 2022, but my recruitment career began when 7 years ago in 2015 when returning to the UK after working a ski season in the French Alps.

In the years following this, I have specialised in recruiting Accounting and Finance candidates in both the Contract and the Permanent market both as a Consultant and a Manager.

My recruitment journey has taken me from humble beginnings in Wolverhampton, before relocating to London in 2018, and eventually settling here in Bristol, where I am here to stay!

Why TRIA?

I joined TRIA as I’m always looking to learn exciting new things and found the world of “Tech” to be an opportunity to leave my comfort zone of accounting and take a subject of personal interest to bring into my working life.

However, I find the sector that I recruit within is almost secondary when it comes to the people and the culture that I work within, and having worked within a corporate agency for a prolonged period I was hugely impressed and excited with the genuine family feel of Tria as a company and the emphasis that they place on fairness and collaboration.

During the early stages of my career with Tria, I am already finding that my good initial first impression of the business and the people to be an accurate one with everyone willing to help each other, and incentives such as the annual Ski trip and monthly lunch clubs are things that I’m keen to strive toward as I build my career here.

Favourite part of the job?

My favourite part of the job is building long standing and trusting relationships with clients and candidates and I really enjoy being “out in the field” learning about exciting businesses first hand. I love the challenge of winning over senior stakeholders and there’s no better feeling than when I am called upon to fulfil a need for them either on a personal level, or from a business perspective because of the trusting relationship I have built with them.

Also, coming into an office which has the best views in Bristol is certainly a bonus!

Hobbies & interests?

When I’m not recruiting, I can be found exploring Bristol’s impressive range of restaurants and craft beer bars/ breweries. As a result, I (try to) keep the weight off by keeping active in the gym, cycling, or playing football (when I’m not injured). On a Saturday afternoon, I can often be found punishing myself by taking part in the only activity that is more of a rollercoaster than Recruitment….
