Head of Data & Analytics
Salary Range: £80,000 - £110,000 + Bonus
Hybrid – 3x Days per Week in Manchester Office
TRIA Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Head of Data & Analytics for one of our key clients based in the Manchester and surrounding areas within the Retail & Fashion sector. This role is focussing on driving the data strategy within the business with focus on business intelligence (BI), analytics, customer driven insights, fast data driven decision making with a demonstrable quality of leadership and managing executive level/C Suite stakeholders.
Reporting directly to the CTO, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to bring the data to life by bringing structure to the data which is within the business and push its optimisation to the next level by overseeing the full lifecycle of the analytics process. This entails collection and analysis all the way to the reporting and visualisation stage. This business likes to act quickly on opportunities and does this through a managed data team.
You’ll be the mentor & leader for a strong team of analysts, helping them develop and grow whilst communicating with stakeholders across the business and being an advocate for data insights and proving its value to the wider business.
Responsibilities:
- Driving business improvement, business efficiency and target outcomes through exploitation and usage of company data.
- Take on the ownership and lifecycle of the BI & Data Models of the wider business.
- Be the leader for the direction of the business’ use of data & BI internally, steering the outcome of external goals whilst achieving the company solutions and goals.
- Manage, mentor and help develop a team of BI & Data professionals.
- Be the demonstrable provider of standards, processes and tools for a successful delivery with the BI & Data teams.
- Design, develop and implement data strategies.
- Collaborate and/or lead on engagements with key stakeholders in the business with Data & BI.
- Be flexible to deliver ad hoc requirements whereby you may challenge the business and ensure prioritising data & BI into the longer-term account strategic plan.
- Management of BI & Data areas, being sure to alert, address and resolve issues as needed.
- Make sure to coordinate the data integration policies and processes for execution by teams. Also ensuring that data is kept strongly secure with mindfulness to compliance standards, regulations and best practice such as GDPR.
- Keeping up to date with industry insight, best practice, new methodologies etc… constantly thinking of how the function of the team or performance may improve.
Skills, Qualities & Experience Needed:
- Technical, business, leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience within Retail, Omni-Channel, Customer, Fashion and/or Finance measures and KPIs. Having experience in Wholesale, E-Commerce and all B2B models is also helpful.
- PowerBI and Snowflake. (Other similar tools are useful but not essential)
- BI & Data Leadership of 5+ years with the ability to lead, inspire, mentor, develop, challenge and improve team members.
- Ability to handle analytical and sometimes complex/competing project demands. This being driven by the ability to understand business requirements and design and deliver suitable solutions to address the task.
- Strong stakeholder/exec level communications skills with a comfortability to also address other business teams and 3rd parties as required. We would also prefer someone who has engaged and worked close with CIOs and CTOs.
