Role: Project Manager (Contract) – AI / Machine Learning Programme

Day Rate: Up to £585 a day (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: Until March 2027 (extension likely)
Location: Hybrid – 2-3 days per week onsite (London)

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a machine learning proof-of-concept within a large-scale operational environment.

This is a high-impact role focused on stakeholder coordination, system integration, and delivery of AI-driven insights, with strong potential to expand into broader AI initiatives over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple stakeholder groups across different departments with varying priorities
• Manage integration points between a machine learning model and existing enterprise systems
• Work with operational KPIs and dashboards used at scale across a nationwide network
• Build strong relationships proactively and drive clarity in an environment where requirements are not always well defined
• Ensure smooth delivery across a multi-supplier landscape

Required Experience

• Proven track record delivering technology transformation projects (Cloud, integrations, migrations)
• Experience working in complex, enterprise-scale, multi-supplier environments
• Background in operational industries such as Logistics, Retail, or Manufacturing
• Strong understanding of Agile and Lean delivery approaches
• Ability to differentiate machine learning vs. generative AI concepts
