EDI Engineer
Location: London/Hybrid
Salary: £60,000 + Benefits
A global retailer is seeking an experienced EDI Engineer to join its Digital & Data team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient electronic data exchange between the business and its partners, supporting operations through robust technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain EDI workflows and API integrations for orders, invoices, and shipments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with EDI and API standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI/API transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Work with ERP and Order Management Systems to support end-to-end business processes.
- Maintain documentation and stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of EDI protocols (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and transport standards (AS2).
- Hands-on experience with API design and integration (REST, JSON, XML).
- Familiarity with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Azure Logic Apps.
- Understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT) and data security best practices.
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and supply chain workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
