Position: Head of Data & AI Governance

Location: Hybrid - London

Employment Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Package: 105k-112k + bonus + company car allowance

Tria have partnered with a global leading hospitality company to hire a Head of Data & AI Governance. This is a key leadership role within the business and presents a fantastic opportunity to implement effective governance to manage data and AI risks, controls, and meeting compliance requirements.

As part of this brand-new role, you will be responsible for building good data and AI governance practices, and keeping up to date with emerging technologies, risks, and business practices.

The position will involve working across key areas such as:

  • Strategy and Direction - Identify, build, and communicate effectively the need for the Data and AI Governance strategy and business plan.
  • Internal Client Relationship Management - Manage relationships with internal clients and act as a business partner to them to address Data and AI governance issues effectively.
  • Best Practice - develop and embed best practice for SSP for data and AI governance.
  • Team Leadership - Set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these.
  • Vendor/partner management - Work closely with vendors and partners to support delivery and ensure that work driven through vendors/partners is of high standards.

The company are looking for people with the following skills/experience:

  • Proven history of delivering governance initiatives in large, complex, global organisations.
  • Previous experience working in a relevant Data Governance position and demonstrable knowledge of AI governance.
  • Deep knowledge of governance frameworks and best practice.
  • Proven experience to leading teams and building a high-performance culture.
  • Demonstrable interest in understanding emerging technologies and their impact on business especially in the context of data and AI governance.
  • Excellent translation and stakeholder relationship building skills.
  • Experience with using the Microsoft Azure and Databricks tech stack (very desirable).
