Head of Technology Operations - 12-Month FTC
Location: Buckinghamshire (2-3 days per week on site)

An excellent opportunity to join a commercially minded, customer-focused organisation under a newly appointed CIO, as they reshape and modernise their technology capability.

As Head of Technology Operations, you'll lead the infrastructure, service delivery and business systems teams - ensuring operational stability today while driving the organisation's shift towards a service-based, value-driven technology model.

You'll play a key role in moving from a traditional ITIL-led environment to a more agile, DevOps-enabled approach, enhancing responsiveness, automation and collaboration. The organisation operates as a Microsoft house, so strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud and infrastructure technologies (Azure, M365, Windows Server) is essential.

You will:

  • Lead and develop teams across Service Desk, Infrastructure and Business Systems
  • Champion a service-based approach, embedding customer experience, accountability and measurable value
  • Drive operational improvement and process efficiency, aligning technology with business outcomes
  • Oversee vendor performance, budgets and commercial relationships
  • Partner with Security, Product and Transformation teams to deliver strategic initiatives
  • Be instrumental in shaping the future direction of Technology Operations and building modern capability

About you:

You're an experienced technology operations leader with deep Microsoft expertise and a track record of modernising service delivery. You combine a commercial and customer-centric mindset with the ability to influence change, build high-performing teams, and deliver operational excellence.
