Networking Specialist - Infrastructure & Operations

Circa £80k per annum + benefits (bonus, private medical care + salary sacrifice pension scheme)

2x days per week in either Horley or Farringdon, London

We have a brilliant opportunity to join a market-leading organisation within the energy sector that has been named a UK Critical National Infrastructure provider. With over 85 years of experience behind them, this well-established company owns and manages essential infrastructure and is currently undergoing a forward-funded, futureproofing programme with enormous potential for growth.

This role sits within the core infrastructure team and will be responsible for ensuring the network is robust, scalable, and incident-free. You'll work closely with architects, suppliers, and internal teams to guide network evolution, support deployments, and manage change effectively.

We are looking for candidates with proven experience in:

  • Managing enterprise datacoms and voice networks across large-scale environments
  • Leading network deployments, upgrades, and incident resolution
  • Working with suppliers to deliver high-quality network services and support
  • Providing technical documentation and change approvals
  • Driving cost-efficiency in network operations and professional services
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including switches, WLCs, and ISE
  • Working with enterprise-grade firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, Meraki MX, and Zscaler
  • Background in telecommunications or ISP environments is highly desirable
