Modern Workplace Engineer opportunity | Circa 75k | Global Education Group | London (hybrid flexibility)

One of the largest private education groups in the world is looking for a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer to lead the development, security and improvement of their Microsoft estate across 100,000 users in four regions.

This is a hybrid position with a global remit. You'll join a close-knit Cloud and Infrastructure team tasked with ensuring Microsoft 365 and Azure services are performant, secure, and aligned with best practice across schools and central offices. The environment is fast-paced and complex, with upcoming projects around automation, identity, and M&A integration.

This is not a BAU support position. You'll take ownership of major global initiatives, help shape best practices, and act as a subject matter expert across Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, and more. What they're looking for:

  • Proven experience across Microsoft 365 and on-prem azure migrations in a large-scale environment

  • Strong background with Entra ID or Azure AD, Conditional Access and Intune

  • Solid understanding of identity and access management, automation, and security

  • Experience leading enterprise-level change around cloud platforms or M&A migrations

  • A proactive mindset, capable of influencing at both technical and senior business levels
