Backend Engineer – Java/Spring Boot

Our client are looking for a Backend Engineer to join a team building scalable, customer-facing digital products. The role focuses on developing Java/Spring Boot services within a GCP environment, building data pipelines, and integrating with a customer engagement platform used in retail environments.
You’ll need to show where you’ve worked on highly available, high-traffic systems, collaborating closely with frontend engineers who are integrating booking and appointment functionality.
Key Requirements:
- Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Experience integrating backend services with third-party platforms and APIs
- Demonstrable experience working on high-availability, high-traffic applications
