Security Operations & Threat Management Lead

Salary to be discussed

Location: Remote with monthly travel to London (expensed)

A global engineering and industrial services group operating across multiple international markets is investing heavily in cybersecurity following a major transformation programme. With around 2,000 employees and operations spanning Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, the business supports customers across critical infrastructure, energy, maritime and defence-related environments.

This is a rare opportunity to join at a formative stage and help build core cyber capabilities. Reporting into the Head of Cyber Security, you’ll lead the organisation’s security operations, threat management and incident response capability, working closely with outsourced security partners while developing an internal team and driving a pragmatic, risk-based security approach.

We are looking for:

  • Experience leading security operations, SOC, threat management or incident response capabilities within a complex organisation
  • Experience building, shaping or maturing a security operations function, with the ability to establish practical processes and controls in a developing environment
  • A pragmatic, risk-based approach to cybersecurity, balancing security requirements with business objectives and operational realities
  • Experience managing or governing outsourced security providers such as SOC, MDR or MSSP partners
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management and risk-based remediation processes

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Exposure to OT, ICS or operational technology environments
  • Experience within energy, industrial, maritime, defence or other critical infrastructure sectors
  • Familiarity with Microsoft security technologies, including Sentinel, Defender, Azure and M365

This role would suit someone who enjoys building capability, improving security maturity and working in a fast-moving environment shaped by growth, change and ongoing business transformation. The team values pragmatism, collaboration and a strong growth mindset over niche specialisation.

To apply, please submit your CV. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 5 business days.
