Test & QA Lead | 6-Month Contract (Outside ir35) | Retail Brand | London 2-3 days per week
Testing on this programme is delivered by capable third-party partners. What’s missing is the person who owns it. That means someone who knows whether the end-to-end order flow is genuinely covered, who can tell the business plainly what’s ready and what isn’t, and who will run the tests themselves when that’s what the moment needs. The Role
- Own test and QA across a commerce platform spanning Shopify, Salesforce Service Cloud, MuleSoft integrations and a vast back end tech estate
- Coordinate UAT with business users and third-party testing partners, from planning through to sign-off
- Take ownership of regression testing and keep it current as the platform evolves
- Map and test the end-to-end order and transaction flow, closing gaps between systems before they reach customers
- Build clear, reliable test reporting that stakeholders understand and trust
- Act as QA lead across internal teams and external vendors, holding partners to a consistent standard
- Provide light-touch QA training and guidance to internal colleagues
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Test Lead or QA Lead, ideally within a larger test function
- Hands-on technical testing ability. You execute tests as well as manage them.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce order flows and transaction data across integrated systems
- Experience coordinating UAT and managing third-party testing suppliers
- Confidence influencing senior business stakeholders and giving clear, honest release recommendations
- Solid test reporting and metrics experience
Nice to have
- Shopify or Shopify Plus
- Salesforce Service Cloud
- MuleSoft or API and integration testing
- ERP testing in an order-to-cash context
- Retail or consumer brand background
