Define, Plan Execute a Data Migration Strategy for CRM

2 days a week onsite in Hampshire

Umbrella contract for 6 months

We are looking for a CRM Data Migration Lead to own the end-to-end migration of data from three complex legacy systems into a new Salesforce CRM. This role sits within a major transformation programme and requires someone who has previously defined, planned, and executed a full data migration strategy for a large CRM implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the data migration workstream within the wider CRM programme.
  • Define and deliver the data migration strategy and detailed plan.
  • Work with our implementation partner on data selection, cleansing rules, mapping, and transformation logic.
  • Conduct multiple dry runs and ensure thorough testing at each stage.
  • Tackle messy, low-quality legacy data and apply robust governance for what transfers to the new CRM
  • Translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders and operate effectively within a matrix organisation.
  • Turn the overarching data strategy into a realistic, deliverable migration plan.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success leading at least one CRM data migration end-to-end.
  • Strong technical data migration expertise
  • Data engineering and/or PM background beneficial.
  • Comfortable working with complex, inconsistent data sources.
  • Skilled at stakeholder engagement in environments with slower or complex decision-making.
  • Ability to articulate what data to migrate, how to migrate it, and when
  • Knowledge/experience of Salesforce is advantageous but not essential
