Lead Frontend Developer | React | Next.js | Azure | Hybrid
£64-73K + Allowances | Pension + 30 Days AL

You've built slick, user-first products. You care about performance, accessibility, and doing things properly - not cutting corners. You're probably the one others turn to when things go sideways.

If that sounds familiar, this one's worth a look.

You'll be joining a modern, cloud-first digital function that's actively building out large-scale public-facing services. It's a technically mature environment - Agile delivery, DevOps pipelines, and even exploring AI/ML in production environments.

The culture supports it too: strong leadership, clear delivery goals, collaborative teams, and proper space to do your best work.

You'll take the lead on frontend delivery using React, Next.js, Node.js, and Azure - helping drive the technical direction, mentor engineers, and deliver high-impact, user-facing products at scale.

Why it's worth your time:

  • Modern tech exposure - Cloud-native builds, CI/CD, modern engineering practices

  • Scope to lead - Own frontend solutions and guide teams

  • Growth & development - Access to training, mentoring, and progression pathways

  • Work/life balance - Generous pension, 30 days AL, flexible hybrid working

  • Stability + challenge - Real-world problems to solve, minus the burnout culture

You'll need:

  • Strong experience building React and Next.js applications

  • Solid grasp of frontend performance, accessibility, and testing (TDD, unit tests, etc.)

  • Experience working in Agile, cloud-first teams (ideally Azure + Azure DevOps)

  • Leadership qualities - you've coached or mentored before, or want to start

Location: Hybrid working - 1-2 days/week onsite in South Wales
