Product Director

Director of Product | 6-Month Contract | £900-£1,000 per day (Inside IR35) | Hybrid – South of England

We’re partnering with a well-established technology business operating within the insurance sector, currently entering a key phase of product and operating model evolution.

Following recent strategic work with an external consultancy to review their Target Operating Model (TOM) and product structure, the organisation is now seeking an experienced Director of Product to lead the next stage of maturity, alignment and delivery.

The Role

This is a senior leadership contract role with responsibility for defining and executing product strategy across a cloud-based, B2B platform environment.

You will:

• Shape and refine the product vision and roadmap
• Align product strategy with commercial and operational objectives
• Lead and develop the product function
• Drive effective delivery across agile and structured methodologies
• Translate market, customer and regulatory insight into clear product priorities
• Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration at executive level

This is an initial 6-month engagement with a strong view to extend.

About You

We’re looking for a senior product leader with:

• Significant experience within insurance or insurtech
• End-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle
• A track record of taking products from concept through to launch
• Experience building and scaling high-performing product teams
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic capability
• The ability to balance long-term vision with pragmatic execution

Location & Package

Hybrid working, with a presence required in the South of England (multiple office locations available). £900-£1,000 per day (Inside IR35).
