We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support delivery within a major student services transformation programme at a leading university.

Working as part of the Transformation Office, you will play a key role in helping shape and deliver improvements to student-facing services, processes and ways of working across the institution. This is an opportunity to contribute to a complex organisational change programme with visible impact across the university community.

The role will focus on supporting service and process design activity within the Transforming Student Services Programme, helping translate strategic objectives into practical delivery plans and sustainable operational improvements.

About the role

You will work closely with programme leads, operational teams, technology colleagues and wider stakeholders to coordinate and deliver projects across areas such as student enquiries, assessment processes and service improvement initiatives.

This role would suit someone with strong project delivery experience who is comfortable working across business change, process improvement and stakeholder engagement in a complex organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the delivery of projects and workstreams within the Transforming Student Services Programme
  • Supporting service and process design activity across student-facing services
  • Coordinating delivery across operational, organisational and technology teams
  • Developing project plans, timelines, RAID logs and governance reporting
  • Managing stakeholders across academic and professional services teams
  • Supporting workshops, requirements gathering and process mapping activities
  • Tracking dependencies, risks, issues and actions across multiple workstreams
  • Supporting business change and implementation activity to help embed new ways of working
  • Preparing papers, updates and reporting for project boards and governance groups
  • Contributing to implementation planning and transition into business-as-usual operations

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience delivering complex projects or transformation initiatives within large organisations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience supporting business change, service improvement or process redesign activity
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across cross-functional teams
  • Experience working within structured project management frameworks and governance environments
  • Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence facilitating discussions and engaging a broad range of stakeholders

Experience gained within higher education, public sector, healthcare or similarly complex environments would be beneficial, though not essential.
